The Birth of Baby A

Birth Story Journey

This sweet baby boy was born at home in the spare bedroom, a cosy, warm room, with the biggest dream catcher I have ever seen hanging on the wall.

He is the first child of both his parents and just happened to come at 42 weeks and 3 days gestation, on the exact date of his namesake’s birthday! Can you believe it!?

He arrived peacefully after a long pushing stage, and came out into the warm water of the pool ready to meet his Mum and Dad, and with only the midwife and I present.

Mama was in full trust of her body and her baby, patiently waiting and full trusting that he would come in his own sweet timing, and that she could birth naturally with no pain relief. And so it was.
